GZI leverages existing relationships with Global players like CCBSA, ABI and Heineken with an expectation of increasing capacity to meet the requirements of its business partners.
GZI launched the Wadeville, Germiston Plant in South Africa with a production capacity of 1,2 billion cans per year.

Beverage can exports were extended to Benin Republic and Ivory Coast.

GZI Agbara factory commenced exports of beverage cans to Lome, Togo in West Africa and GZI Aba factory began exports to South Africa.
GZI Aba factory produced its first 33cl and 50cl standard cans as well as its first 33cl sleek can.
GZI Agbara factory produced the first 50cl can in Nigeria.
GZI Agbara factory was issued its FSSC22000 Certificate by DQS-UL, an international body of Food Safety Certification based in Germany.
GZI Agbara factory was issued the ISO 9001:2008 certificate by Quality Management Systems.
GZI commenced construction of its second can manufacturing factory in Nigeria in Aba, Abia State with a production capacity of 600 million cans per year.
